ZETA Statement on the American Broadband Deployment Act

At ZETA, our vision is a world where geography and background no longer dictate a person’s ability to succeed. We have long championed broader connectivity and superior infrastructure because we believe that all communities, especially young, rural, and tribal populations, deserve seamless access to the digital world and essential public services.
We are advancing this mission by supporting the American Broadband Deployment Act of 2025. This legislation ensures that the "removal of barriers to entry" moves from a high-level goal to a tangible reality for those historically left behind. By streamlining state and local siting processes and establishing clear timeframes to prevent indefinite delays, the Act provides the structural reliability our generation requires to build a more equitable future.
We recognize that small personal wireless service facilities and expanded telecommunications services are the essential lifelines for modern community building and social mobilization. Because this bill specifically protects the provision, improvement, and enhancement of these services, it ensures that the digital tools necessary for education, healthcare, and civic engagement remain within reach for everyone. Our support for this Act is a fundamental commitment to a future where reliable infrastructure acts as a bridge that brings people together instead of a gatekeeper that stalls progress.
